So use the water which is cleaned and filtered and free from chlorine and other minerals that will affect the taste of your coffee. When you are going to filter the water then stainless steel or gold mesh filters should be used instead of paper filters which can make the taste of your coffee better. The Paper filters have dyes, chlorine and bleach that at the time of filtering can be released which affect the taste of your coffee. And if you want to use paper filters then best option is to buy the unbleached, brown paper filters.
Quality coffee should be used for better taste, no worried of the cost of it but to enjoy better tasting of coffee. And if you want to the best result of the coffee then before using high quality of beans is ground, if you feel it is an inconvenience, but once you taste the difference you'll never go back. And if you prefer to use a ground coffee then be sure to use a good, drip grind coffee.
For a standard cup of coffee, two level tablespoons of coffee per 6 ounces of water should be used but the level of the tablespoon can be changed depend on individual taste preference. And it is also remembered to spread the grounds evenly in the coffee filter so full brewing is achieved. And at the last enjoy your fresh coffee right away for the best flavor. To reserve the coffee for a long time then a clean, preheated air pot or stainless steel Thermos should be used which will keep coffee hot for about an hour without hurting the flavor.
