Coffee History

The drinking of the coffee has extra feature that you will enjoy the feeling still after the finish of one cup of coffee. It is a stimulant to your body and gives you extra ability to work. The beans of the coffee have a history of over 1000 years and billions of dollars has invested in the industry of coffee. The beans of the coffee are one of most beloved resource of nature in all of early morning rituals.

The exact history of coffee origin is not clear but there are a lot of stories famous about the discovering of coffee beans. One story which is very famous is about an Ethiopian shepherd. He found some red berries in the field and he observed the effect of the berries and took it to the monk. The monk used the berries and ordered to use the berries for the benefit. Another story is also circulated in the history that there was a group of exiled Arabians who were in the desert; they used a special fruit to survive in the desert.

The actual origin of coffee beans is not sure. But it is certain that the first plantation was started in the Arab. The first coffee shop of the world was opened in 1475 in Constantinople and Muslim leader put ban on the drinking of coffee in 1511 but the Pope in 1600 baptized the drink. Many heads of the states introduced the coffee in their state and mostly trader and tourist played vital role in the introduction of coffee in their own country. The introduction of coffee to Europe was made possible by trader who visited Yemen and they were inspired by the feature of the coffee. in south America it was estimated that at one location about 70% of the people use coffee as morning beverage.

The history of Starbucks coffee begins in Seattle in 1971.there were three friends who opened a small shop of coffee and started to sell fresh-roasted, gourmet coffee beans and brewing and roasting accessories. One of the friends came to other venture in 1980 for selling of fresh coffee. At that time Starbuck was the popular and largest roaster with six retail outlets. This man caught the attention of Shchultz, a Swedish manufacturer of plastic drip-brewing thermos. In 1982 the history of Starbuck was changed when Baldin hired the energetic Schultz as new head of marketing and shortly after was sent to Milan, Italy in 1983. In Italy he was inspired by the culture of coffee and hit the idea of launching of coffee houses in America.

Baldin did not response well and he was unwilling to change the original track of business but he gave permission for test to launch a small espresso bar. This small bar received a good response and after this he launched many coffee houses in the country and got much more success. In 1987 the sale of Starbuck was raised and Schultz convinced many investors. In the next five year about one hundred and twenty-five outlets were opened and converted six existing Starbuck, roasting shops into coffee houses. He achieved his goal of launching one hundred and twenty-five stores in five years. Today 8,000 stores are in three countries and the annual revenues comes $7.5 billion.
